Where am I?

Tateyama-machi is south area of Toyama prefecture.
Toyama prefecture is almost middle of Japan island and it beside the Japan sea.

I found this note somewhere in the internet,

"Toyama city: Entryway to the Tateyama Mountains and the Alpine Route"
Toyama city, located west of Tokyo on the main island of Honshu near ther sea of Japan, lies on a plain formed by meltwater flowing through the Jintsu River, Jyoganji River, and others descending from the surrounding snow capped peaks. In addition to its agriculture, Toyama has historically hosted many industries thanks to the convenience of shipping across the sea of Japan, and an abundance of water power from the nearby rivers. Toyama Bay is also well known for its fishing areas teeming with local varieties of yellowtail, squid, shrinp, and crub.

This note express general info of Toyama,I think.

I will discover more little by little.

By the way, we have a dog (siberian husky) called "YUKI".
Sometimes I will put a picture of her and pictures around our house.

Hello, Tourist from over seas or “Aliens” in Japan

Hello from Japan.
I wrote looooooooooooooong blog this morning, but it did not published anyhow....
But this time, I tried it again and it seems working...

Ok, lets start again.

I am not native English speaker. I might make lots of mistakes though, hopefully you will understand what I try to say.
I moved in Toyama prefecture last december.(2008) from Australia with my Australian husband.
I am Japanese and originally from Aichi prefecture. We wanted to buy a house in cheep price without borrowing money and search it though internet from Australia last year.
We wanted to live mountain area.
We wanted to live not too far from sea side.
We wanted to live in cold weather.
We wanted to live somewhere not too far from my home town.
And it was Toyama and especially in Tateyama area.

Tateyama area is famous for "North Japan Alps". It's very picturesque place and peaceful area to live in. Of course it's great for tourism.

But provably it is not so famous place to visit for tourist from over seas or "Aliens" in Japan.
(Aliens: we call people from outside of Japan island with sarcasm and love)

I don't know much about this area yet. So, I would like to discover it for myself and to introduce it to you guys.
